Turn off protein skimmers, uv sterilizers and ozone generators before use. Keep turned off for three days after application for best results. Shake well before using. Add 10ml (each capful is 5ml) per each 40 L (10 gallons) of water. Add the same dosage 24 hours later. 3. Repeat the above steps biweekly or when wanting to remove visible sludge. To increase effectiveness, add directly into filter media “sump”, particularly activated carbon. Activated carbon is an excellent surface area for the Bacillus sp.
Notes on use
The bacteria in TECO Marine Clean are in a spore stage inside of the product bottle. When introduced into an aquarium, the bacteria then emerge from a spore state and quickly begin to consume sludge. Weekly additions of TECO Marine Clean are recommended to sustain population levels sufficient to prevent sludge buildup.
TECO Marine Clean Saltwater contains a specifically developed sludge removing bacteria used to remove organic debris from aquarium substrate, filters media, tubing, etc. Marine Clean contains billions (2 billion colony forming units per milliliter) of heterotrophic bacteria.
