TECO Marine Clarifier will effectively clear cloudy water caused by bacterial blooms, gravel dust, suspended algae, and other suspended particles. TECO Marine Clarifier will not affect pH and is safe for use in saltwater and reef aquaria. TECO Marine Clarifier acts very quickly to precipitate out particulate matter that causes cloudiness in the aquarium.
Directions
Add 5 ml, or one capful per 10 gallons once per day. It is also a clear, colorless liquid that will not discolor aquarium water while it works.
Notes on use
Clarifiers are a group of chemicals known as flocculents. They act by pulling together very fine organic and inorganic particles and binding them together into larger particles. These particles are now large enough to precipitate to the tank bottom, or be removed by mechanical filters. Cloudy water can be caused by the growth of heterotrophic bacteria proliferating in the water column, dust from crushed coral may also contribute to the problem. Continued cloudiness may indicate high ammonia due to overfeeding or other factors.
TECO Marine Clarifier will not upset biological filters. Biological and/or mechanical filtration and aeration must be maintained during usage.
