Advanced: Add 1ml per 200 L (50 gallons) every day. Each thread in the cap is approximately 1 ml.
Notes on use
Natural seawater contains total iodine at a level of 0.06ppm. In the home aquarium, iodine is depleted by biological usage (animals use the iodine to grow, develop natural defenses against predation, protect against pathogenic organisms). In addition, protein skimmers remove iodine from aquariums. It is hypothesized that ozone and ultraviolet sterilization also affect iodine levels in the aquarium. For these reasons, supplementing iodine is necessary.
TECO Marine Iodine uses calcium iodide (CaI) and potassium iodide (KI) in order to supply the reef with iodine in a form that will not pollute the aquarium. Regular small doses of iodine are much better than occasional large doses; the ideal situation is to maintain a stable iodine level in the aquarium. Our dosing instructions are designed to prevent an overdose.
